The versatile ONE Shop Floor CMM from Brown & Sharpe has become a shop floor inspection favorite, featuring touch trigger probing, continuous contact analog scanning, and now non-contact laser scanning using the ScanShark 4Vix, all powered by the de-facto industry standard PC-DMIS metrology software.

The ScanShark 4Vix is also compatible with the ROMER INFINITE 2.0 7-axis arm and is plug-and-play swappable between both systems. The key to the intercompatibility is the TESA kinematic joint that is shared between all ROMER scanning arms and TESASTAR-m equipped CMMs. Companies can invest in a single scanner that can be leveraged to the strengths of two different types of measuring platforms. The portable arms are packed with ROMER-exclusive features such as TESA Kinematic probes, a redesigned Ergonomic Wrist with an integrated USB digital camera, an innovative SpinGrip, a new Probe Holster, upgraded WiFi with up to 200 feet range, and an LED work-light. ROMER Portable Arm CMM users have recognized the attention to detail that allows them to streamline each measurement/inspection work-session.

The Romer Absolute Arm 7-Axis "SI" series with integrated laser scanner delivers the convenience of a fully integrated 3D scanning solution. The scanner is permanently incorporated into the seventh axis, and weight balanced with ROMER's Zero-G counterbalance feature for ergonomics and ease of use. The feature pack contains the scanner interface, so no external controller box is required. Single button automatic laser power control allows scanning of different surface types. No warm up time coupled with no homing procedures means an operator can be up and scanning in just moments.

The Romer Absolute Arm 7-Axis "SE"  allows the connection of interchangeable high performance external laser scanners such as the ScanShark V4ix and V5 models, or without a scanner as a 7 axis "pistol grip" tactile inspection system. The ROMER feature pack capability of the SE series arm means that an external laser scanner can easily be added, changed, or upgraded at any time, for greater convenience plus future proofing. The ability to share an external laser scanner such as ScanShark V4ix between a stationary CMM and an Absolute Arm is an added benefit.
